Without anything but a prompting from God through Scripture, Ken Turner made a “cold call” on a jail where he assumed there was a teen who needed help. After convincing the guard to let him in, he met an administrator who had been praying for someone just like Ken to come and help the young men in that detention center who were asking her to send someone like Ken. The rest of the story is just as exciting and you’ll hear Ken tell it this week on FIRST PERSON.
Be sure to stay for the whole program as Ken tells the story of “Daniel”, a seemingly hopeless young man who was in jail and beyond reach– except for the reach of God’s love.
Be sure to visit Ken’s ministry website here where you will learn more of what you can do to help troubled, fatherless youth with the life-changing power of the Gospel.

Listened to the interview on First Person. Wonderful. Lots of unclaimed treasure out there in this collapsing society of ours. Broken sinners need the Great Physicians help! How might I assist? I was virtually without parents after a family tragedy. Didn’t do “juvey”, but did do “solitary” as a teen. It broke my life badly. Like to get involved with something like what you’re doing in Minneapolis, MN area. Please advise. Your work is bringing that help which is in the Name of the Lord. You are blessed. May the Lord continue to lead you in his triumph, spreading the fragrance of the knowledge of him, where you are!
Thank you David. I’d be glad to put you in touch with some of my friends in Minneapolis. I’ll email you some contact info. Thank you for your words of encouragement. Ken
