God is for us. That should make us somewhat speechless. Think of it this way. “What can I say, God, is for me.”  Not only is He for me, this proves that even when it feels like He is against me, He’s not. All of His attributes are for me, His promises are for me, and all of His acts are for me. He is for me, He is not against me, so the enemy can bring his best efforts against me but what does it matter because if God is for me what can anyone do to destroy me or the purposes God has for me? 

God goes with and He fights for you in your daily battles.

A believer in Christ is always moving from victory to another victory. Our successes are in our reliance on Christ, and our strength is in God as He delivers each success.

When you place your strength in Christ you are not just a conqueror, you are more than conquerors. As a child of God, you can experience victory which includes so much more than winning individual battles. Your success in Christ comes with His promise that there will be many more winning moments in life because of all your faith, trust, and reliance is in Him.

When victories come into our lives, there is a critical equation to practice. Give God the glory, and He will give you the joy. If you take the glory, your joy will not last long. When God receives the glory our joy will be everlasting.

If Jesus can speak and calm a raging sea, He can calm the storm in your life today. No matter the severity of your storm, Jesus will cause the wind to cease, and He will bring a great calm in your life.

Find peace in your ability to rest in God’s presence. When you are discouraged by the prosperity of the wicked, God says to relax and rest in Him. His plans are in place, and He is trustworthy with your future.

One way to overcome the temptation to live in sin and yield to the flesh is to take time to stand in awe of God and be still. Do you struggle at times with the question, “Is it worth it to follow God?” You are not alone. Satan is as much a distractor as he is a deceiver. He will continue to distract you from an awareness of the awe of the God of the universe, the creator of all things, the provider of your salvation. To keep a heart warm toward God, follow the instructions of today’s verse by standing in awe of God, sin not, and commune with your own heart on your bed by meditating on the greatness of God.
