This Week’s Theme – Acknowledging God
September 04, 2018
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Proverbs 3:5-6
Thought For Today
To trust God with all your heart is to believe He can do the impossible in our life. It is to understand He is wise and always knows what is best for us. It is to know He is good and will always look out for our best as a loving Father.

And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.
Colossians 3:15
Thought For Today
Have you been told you need to be at peace with God? Me too. But how about this perspective?
Let the peace of God govern your heart. Let the fact that God is at peace with you (not that you are at peace with Him) govern your heart. Let this peace that God provides rule in all the affairs of your life, including your relationship with brothers and sisters in Christ. Instead of jealousy among us, how about we be full of peace and gratitude for His mercies and enjoy a life marked by peace?

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.
James 1:17
Thought For Today
Never be persuaded into thinking God is not good. He cannot author evil. So, everything evil that comes into our life is from the author of sin, the sin of the world where we exist. But, every good gift is from God. He is the author of all that is good. All the good gifts we enjoy come directly from the Father of light. He created the light, the sun, moon, and stars and gave us the light of truth through His son Jesus Christ. If you feel darkness today, remember the dark is not from God, He is the light in the night, so never be confused about where to turn and be grateful for a God who brings good in the midst of trouble.

This Week’s Theme – Gratitude
August 29, 2018
Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. Oh, give thanks to the God of gods! For His mercy endures forever. Oh, give thanks to the Lord of lords! For His mercy endures forever: To Him who alone does great wonders, For His mercy endures forever.
Psalm 136:1-4
Thought For Today
One thing is sure, God’s mercy endures forever. He is the God of gods, and the Lord of lords and His mercy endures forever. The true God, our God, and the One who we serve is a merciful God, and we can be filled with gratitude every day that His mercy endures forever.

And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.
Colossians 3:17
Thought For Today
Whatever you do, understand that you are functioning in God’s plan, under His authority, by His power. And whatever you do today, do it in compliance with His plan while always giving thanks to God for the privilege to serve Him and give thanks for the results because it is His accomplishment, not yours.

This is the day the LORD has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it.
Psalm 118:24
Thought For Today
Let’s mark this day, the day the Lord has made, with honor and great joy! God created these days, each day as a new day for you and me. Let’s be a good steward of each day He gives us and let’s honor Him for this gift by approaching the day with great joy and gratitude.

This Week’s Theme: Generosity
August 24, 2018
Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Matthew 6:19-21
Wherever your treasure is, your heart will be there too. Choose to treasure things of eternal value. Why? Earthly possessions are vulnerable. Moths destroy fabrics, rust destroys metals, and thieves can always steal. It’s hard to know when you’ve accumulated enough here on earth, especially if you genuinely “treasure” material possessions. So, God gives wisdom about treasures.
Treasure things of eternal value. Treat things done for eternity just as real as things accumulated here on earth. And treasure the eternal more than the earthly possessions.

This Week’s Theme: Generosity
August 23, 2018
But whoever has this world’s goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?
I John 3:17
Some of God’s most faithful servants are poor. But others of God’s most faithful servants are rich. Does this please God? Yes.
God has a plan for each of His children, and His plan is in line with His perfect will for us. In their life filled with exceptional need, those who are serving God learn to trust Him and follow His plan. In their life of abundance, God’s wealthy children learn to enjoy God’s material blessings and also learn the joy of life-changing generosity to those in need.
In both cases, there is a test of love. Do God’s struggling children love Him enough to serve Him in times of poverty faithfully? Do God’s wealthy children love Him more than money and possessions and show their love through incredible generosity. God’s giving plan is not socialism, it is driven by a heart of obedience to the one who owns it all.

August 22, 2018
But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.
II Corinthians 9:6-7
It makes sense that a person who sows in small amounts will reap a little, but a person who sows generously will reap with an abundance. God wants His children to experience the joy of giving freely, with a purposeful heart and be full of joy because generosity brings happiness and more of God’s provision.

Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.
Luke 6:38
God often uses mankind to show His heart to others. He promises if we give and give generously, He will make sure we experience bountiful blessings also. When we give, we will not just receive back His generosity, but He will be sure we receive in abundance, pressed down and running over.
Generosity and gratitude for all of God’s blessings are truly a game changer in your spiritual walk.

This Week’s Theme: Ask
August 17, 2018
Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.
I John 5:14-15
God wants us to ask Him for the things we need, and He wants us to come with confidence. If we know He hears all our requests; then we should also know He desires to fulfill all our needs according to His divine will for us. So ask, with confidence, believing He will answer according to His perfect plan.

This Week’s Theme: Ask
August 16, 2018
And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.
John 14:13-14
Thought For Today
If you were preparing to say goodbye to a close friend they may ask, “What is the best way to stay in touch with you?” Jesus was speaking to his disciples before going back to heaven, and He established the process for correspondence to continue. He didn’t say to write Him a letter, He said you could reach Him through prayer. And in prayer, He said you could ask for anything. Ask for anything that will further His purposes in your life, anything that will advance the gospel, and anything that will glorify God.
