II Corinthians 5:7 – We Walk By Faith Not By Sight

II Corinthians 5:7 – We Walk By Faith Not By Sight

This Week’s Theme: Faith – by Ken Turner, May 17, 2018

II Corinthians 5:7

For we walk by faith, not by sight:

Thought for today…

We need “faith” for the journey we travel in this world. We will have “sight” when we join our heavenly father in heaven. For the time being, we walk by faith while we are here, and we will have sight when we are there.

I Corinthians 2:5 – Faith In God… Not Men

I Corinthians 2:5 – Faith In God… Not Men

This Week’s Theme: Faith – by Ken Turner, May 16, 2018

I Corinthians 2:5

That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

Thought for today…

What if all you had was God? If He was your source for wisdom, your only provider, your protector, your healer and your friend. Would He be enough? Yes… He absolutely would be enough. Safeguard your heart and make sure you know what it means to trust God and stand in His wisdom… not the wisdom of men.

Romans 10:17 – Faith Comes by Hearing The Word of God

Romans 10:17 – Faith Comes by Hearing The Word of God

This Week’s Theme: Faith – by Ken Turner, May 15, 2018

Romans 10:17

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Thought for today…

The beginning of your faith journey starts with hearing. It’s not enough to hear enticing words of other men about God… but to hear the word of God and recognize it as the WORD OF GOD. The word of God is called the word of faith. Read and listen to God’s word and with an open heart enlarge the boundaries of your personal faith.

Galatians 2:20 – Crucified With Christ and Alive Unto God

Galatians 2:20 – Crucified With Christ and Alive Unto God

This Week’s Theme: Faith – by Ken Turner, May 14, 2018

Galatians 2:20

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Thought for the day:

To live by faith is to be crucified with Christ yet still be living. The power of sin over us is “crucified with Christ” and now we move forward living life fully alive “with Christ.” Even though we live our life “in a body made of flesh” we live by faith in Jesus Christ and His power to overcome.

If Jesus can break the bondage of sin over us, let’s live in faith that we are victorious.

Romans 4:20 – Strong In Faith, Glorifying God

Romans 4:20 – Strong In Faith, Glorifying God

Friday, May 11, 2018
This week’s theme: Faith

He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; Romans 4:20

Thought for the day:

Doubt, discouragement, and our mental and physical limitations cause us to stagger in our faith. Staggering in our faith is always rooted in some level of unbelief in God’s goodness, God’s power, or even in God’s motives for why He is doing or not doing something in our life. It’s time to believe and fully trust in the unconditional love of your heavenly Father.

Romans 1:17 – The Just Shall Live By Faith

Romans 1:17 – The Just Shall Live By Faith

Thursday, 5/10/18 Faith

For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

Romans 1:17

Thought for today…

The gospel reveals the righteousness of God from faith to faith. From the faith of God to the faith of man. It is an increasing faith… ever growing, strengthening and developing in our spiritual walk. Because of the power of the gospel, because we see God’s miraculous transformation in us through Christ, the just shall live by faith.

Romans 1:8 – Faith That Impacts The World

Romans 1:8 – Faith That Impacts The World

This Week’s Theme: Faith – by Ken Turner, May 9, 2018

Romans 1:8

I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.

Thought for today…

Have faith that is so strong that others notice, in your family, in your neighborhood, in your church, at your job, in your city, and beyond! Have the kind of faith that impacts others deeply.

Mark 10:52 – Thy Faith Hath Made Thee Whole

Mark 10:52 – Thy Faith Hath Made Thee Whole

This Week’s Theme: Faith – by Ken Turner, May 8, 2018

Mark 10:52

And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.

Thought for today…

Jesus Christ has the power to give us sight. He can heal the blind man and He can also help you see circumstances of life with an eternal perspective. Ask Him, in faith, to help you see things going on in your life right now the way He wants you to see it.

Matthew 17:20 – Even a Little Faith Can Move Mountains

Matthew 17:20 – Even a Little Faith Can Move Mountains

This Week’s Theme: Faith – by Ken Turner, May 7, 2018

Matthew 17:20

If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

Thought for today…

Even the smallest faith can move mountains. Never give up on the power of God to do the thing that seems impossible

Psalm 126:5 – Don’t Let Weeping Hinder Sowing

Psalm 126:5 – Don’t Let Weeping Hinder Sowing

This Week’s Theme: The Source of Real Joy – by Ken Turner, May 4, 2018

Psalm 126:5

They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.

Thought for today…

Don’t let weeping hinder sowing. Children of God are often carrying burdens of others, suffering with others in calamity, and fighting their fair share of spiritual battles. Know this promise… there will be a joyful harvest for faithful service to God.

Psalm 51:12 – Restore The Joy of Salvation

Psalm 51:12 – Restore The Joy of Salvation

This Week’s Theme: The Source of Real Joy – by Ken Turner, May 3, 2018

Psalm 51:12

Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation, and uphold me with thy free spirit.

Thought for today…

When we sin against God, it steals away the joy of our salvation. A Christian’s true source of joy in life is rooted in the salvation we have in Jesus Christ. When we repent of our willful disobedience, God will restore the joyfulness of our salvation. Sin makes us weak, therefore God restores our strength through His free spirit.. a “freeing” spirit that frees us from the burden and bondage of sin.

Psalm 30:5 – Joy Comes In The Morning

Psalm 30:5 – Joy Comes In The Morning

This Week’s Theme: The Source of Real Joy – by Ken Turner, May 2, 2018

Psalm 30:5

For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

Thought for today…

When we fail God and deserve His anger… His anger is so brief. His forgiveness comes as quickly as we confess our sin. His anger is brief but His forgiveness is everlasting.
