This Week’s Theme: Maturity – by Ken Turner, June 20, 2018
Ephesians 4:14-15
That we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head… Christ.
Thought for today…
Spiritual “grown-ups” have learned that it’s not enough to know truths about God, you must embrace and internalize those truths into real life. The wisdom God delivers to us through scripture is worthy to be applied and practiced. It becomes our “spiritual DNA,” it is woven into the fabric of our character. His truths make us better spouses, better parents, better sons, better daughters, better employees and better friends. We also become better Christians.

I Corinthians 13:11
When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
Thought for today…
Have you committed your heart to God to pursue Him to the next level of spiritual maturity? Don’t let Satan use obstacles and tactics to convince you to stop growing in Christ. It’s easy to allow stumbling blocks to stunt our growth. A Christian friend may have offended you, a pastor let you down or hurt you, or you were disappointed in others who claim to be committed to Christ. The truth is, it’s time to move forward. It’s time to focus on Christ, His promises, and His unwavering power to change your life. It’s time to move to the next level of spiritual maturity.

James 1:4
But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.
Thought for today…
“Patience” is your unwavering, steadfast commitment to the faith and the truth you really believe. Allow that commitment to have its full effect in your life, so you be spiritually mature. You will be complete, mature, and not live with gaps and blind spots in your life.

Ephesians 2:10
For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
Thought for today…
We are His workmanship, created for good works. Christ has a plan for you to impact the world. His plan is perfect. There are and will always be so many needs, problems and people in pain. You have a spiritual role, a spiritual purpose in this world for this time. You were made to make a difference. You were made for this.

James 3:17
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.
Thought for today…
The wisdom of God that comes down to us from heaven is available if we are willing to yield. One of the most significant keys to unlocking God’s riches in your life is a willingness to listen, a willingness to learn and a willingness to yield to God’s wisdom in exchange for choosing your way.

Joshua Goodling Is Available To Speak To Youth In Your Community
The paperwork has all been completed, my mortgage is now paid, and I am ready to hit the road bringing the life-changing glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ to young people and others! I am currently stationed in Knoxville Tennessee while I look for a truck and trailer and pray that God will open the doors He wants.
Jesus said in John 4:34, “Do you not say, ‘There are yet four months, then comes the harvest’? Look, I tell you, lift up your eyes, and see that the fields are white for harvest.” In the past few months, we’ve seen celebrities hang themselves, we’ve seen young people shoot others in schools and places, and we’ve seen a world that is filled with people seeking happiness and a meaning in life – but they are looking in the wrong places, they need to KNOW GOD!
I must also remind us that just because some of our young people are in churches does not mean they truly know Him. Many of our churches and so-called Christian groups today are simply entertaining our youth, rather than teaching them the truths found in God’s Word.
I am currently booking speaking opportunities in churches, youth groups, camps, and other events all over the United States. I know many of you who read this have contacts in places – please help me spread the word, and impact more young people for Jesus Christ! Share my website, my facebook account, and other information!
Thank you for your continued prayers and support today and in the days and weeks ahead!

II Timothy 3:16-17
All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
Thought for today…
God’s word is powerfully effective. It is the trusted source to turn to when we need to correct our path, and when we need instruction and guidance. If you want to be “complete” as a person, not struggling with gaps of inefficiency in your life, place yourself in the presence of the Bible and make it a part of your life.

Mark 1:17
Then Jesus said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you become fishers of men.”
Thought for today…
Accepting Christ as your Savior makes you a Christian, but receiving His call to “follow me” makes you a disciple. Jesus wants to give you more than a “ticket to heaven,” He wants to give you an abundant life here on earth. When God is using you to impact others for all eternity, that is abundant life. Make yourself available to Him today and become a fisher of men.

Isaiah 6:8
Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.
Thought for today…
Your journey to know God’s grand plan for you begins with a willing heart. Ask God to help you understand the most significant unmet needs around you. Then, ask Him how He might use you to meet those needs. Once He speaks, respond with a willing heart and take action saying, “Here am I, send me.”

This Week’s Theme: The Power of Love – by Ken Turner, June 1, 2018
Ephesians 4:32
And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.
Thought for today…
Life is full of challenges, and many of those challenges involve people. Since God is kind, tenderhearted, and forgiving toward us, why not be more kind, more tenderhearted, and more forgiving to those around you? It’s this kind of behavior that impacts the world and opens doors to share the gospel.

You meet so many people in life, but there are a few of those relationships that carry on forever.
My friend Joshua Goodling is one of those life-long friendships. We met in college, became friends, and God continues to use Joshua in my life on a weekly basis to strengthen my faith, and I believe He continues to use me in Joshua’s life in much the same way. It’s one of my “iron sharpens iron” relationships.
Have you ever met someone given “zero chance of survival?” I hadn’t until I met Joshua. You’ll need to read the story on his website because I can’t do it justice here. But at age four, his parents were informed his chance of living was zero, and he was given one week to live. That was in the 1960’s so as Joshua would say, “It’s been a long week.”
Over the past few years, Joshua’s life has taken many unexpected turns. After a very successful career as a web engineer with WebMD and then on to PGI, another international company based in Atlanta, he could not escape the burning desire to impact others for Christ by sharing his message of God’s power to overcome all obstacles.
Joshua has spoken to over 15,000 youth in the metro Atlanta area over the past few years. He receives invitations all school year long to talk to students and FCA clubs and entire school assemblies. He also speaks to churches and youth groups.
Today, at 12:00 noon, Joshua is signing the closing documents on his condo in Atlanta and plans to buy a truck and small RV and devote his life to sharing the message of God’s power to change lives to youth and adults.
Joshua has a contract to do web development projects for an Atlanta based company which helps provide for his needs, but there are some who have stepped up to support Joshua through our High Impact Teen outreach.
I wanted to share Joshua’s news with you, asking you to put Joshua on your prayer list and consider inviting Joshua to speak to youth in your community or at your church.
If you know of anyone with a smaller (20-24 foot) RV to sell, please pass that information along! Joshua is looking for a truck also.
Learn more about Joshua’s story, how to invite him as a speaker and how to support his ministry at JoshuaGoodling.com

This Week’s Theme: The Power of Love – by Ken Turner, May 31, 2018
Luke 10:27
And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.
Thought for today…
When we love God with all our heart, with a heart fully devoted to Him, it comes natural to love our neighbors and do all we can to make a difference in the lives of others.
