Visit To The White House Office of Faith Based Partnerships

Eugene Schneeberg and I met last fall in Indianapolis. All Pro Dad sponsored a prison ministry event and I had the privilege of speaking at the event along with Tony Dungy. Eugene attended and took part in the day as a director with the Office of Faith Based Partnerships of the White House.

Since that meeting in Indianapolis we have continued to keep in touch and dialogue about ministry to at-risk youth and earlier this month I had the opportunity to fly to DC to meet with him at his office.

Walt and Diane Sirmans, along with David Mullen were all a part of the trip to DC. Walt was invited to DC for a special reception at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum. Walt was a project manager with a team of engineers that developed the X-35B Joint Strike Fighter.

Walt and Diane along with David Mullen have been a tremendous encouragement to me over the past few months and have been involved in making new connections to advance our ministry to at-risk youth and help me in the strategic planning as we develop camps for at-risk youth at Fort Bluff Camp here in Tennessee.

David is very creative through writing and producing music in Nashville but like the Sirmans, has devoted some time to assist in this very important ministry.

Pray for all of us as we continue to seek God’s guidance in having Kingdom impact with youth!
