We are celebrating one year of ministry at Ken Turner Ministries! This summer will mark 22 years of youth ministry but it was one year ago that I took this ministry leap of faith!
I founded Ken Turner Ministries on April 24, 2008. It seems impossible that we are about to hit the one year mark! In this first year God has provided so much fruit. Over 40 teens have been saved in the past several months, I have personally ministered to over 500 parents through my parent ministry, I have recruited, trained and facilitated the new Mentor Outreach Team at the Indianapolis Detention Center and so much more. I enjoy this ministry so much and the fruit of sharing the gospel to youth each week, counseling and discipling them.
My financial support comes from several sources but I have a small group of business men who support this ministry at a very high level based on investment income.
During the month of March and April our ministry experienced a shortfall in some of our regular support. I am pleased to say that God has provided all those financial needs for March and most of the needs for April.
There was no other month that I saw the power of God working in my ministry this past year as I saw in March. From a spiritual perspective, I should expect the enemy to jump in and try to stop or slow down the work of God.
I truly believe there are people that God has placed in our life to be reached with the gospel and there are people God has placed in our life He wants to use to partner with us financially and prayerfully.
This is my simple request. Would you pray right now about the needs of our ministry? Would you pray and ask God if He would want you to make a one time investment in this ministry? I know there are those who God has blessed in such a way that could make a large donation that would completely clear the path of financial obstacles we are facing. There are many others who could make a small donation that would also help make a huge difference. Many have responded and it has been so encouraging to see how God moves among His people.
